03 | Bassist and saxophonist Gerhard Braun was a well-known musician in Berlin, and he and his orchestra also performed on the radio. A few years after this photograph was taken, Gerhard Braun was deported to Auschwitz and murdered. One of the violinists and the guitarist (Oskar Adler and Josef Schopper, both seated) survived Auschwitz and other concentration camps.
